Long Time, New Update (and some new graphs)

I realize it's been a really, REALLY long time since I've posted an update.  Long story short, I've been plagued by a ton of computer problems for the better part of a year.  To make up for it, here are some new FREE sports graphs and a brand new EASIER way to find and download my graphs.  From now on I'll be hosting my sports graphs on Google Drive so just follow this link, click on the graph you want and download it.  Enjoy :)

Free Christmas Crochet Graphs!

Seasons greetings everyone! Wow this year has gone by incredibly fast! Blogging has mostly taken a back seat to work and trying to finish all my crochet projects before the holidays, but I wanted to bring you some cheery Christmas graphs to celebrate the season.

As always, I created these using the Free Pattern Wizard.  Just comment or email me if you would like any of these graphs and I will be happy to send them to you in .jpg or .pdf format. Remember to check out my tutorial on making your own graphs using the Free Pattern Wizard if you would like to make your own holiday graphs.

Free Jack-O-Lantern Graphs!

How in the world is it October already!? I absolutely love this time of year, and I love pumpkins and pumpkin carving, so today I'm bringing you some free small jack-o-lantern graphs. These graphs are small enough they can be completed fairly quickly and would make great decorations.  They are not anywhere near big enough on their own to be blankets, but they could be joined together to make a throw blanket, or used individually as pillows, wall hangings, or place-mats.  They aren't hosted anywhere just now so you'll need to email me (email address at top right of blog) to get the full size graphs.  I know I usually host at stitchboard.com, but the website owners there are concentrating on improving their site and the free pattern wizard currently (more on that later).  I'll stop rambling now and get to the patterns.

Also, look for a new, unique, simple v-stitch afghan pattern coming soon.  I need to figure out how to use my new camera and make a tutorial when I get some spare time, but I promise it will be posted within the next few weeks.  Also, just a reminder, I make and distribute these graphs for absolutely free.  I don't ask for or require any donations or payments, so please respect my work and only use my patterns for your own personal enjoyment.  If you would like to do anything to thank me for providing these free graphs, please either make a donation to improve the free pattern wizard, purchase something for me off my Amazon.com wishlist, or buy something for yourself from one of my affiliate sponsors or Amazon.com affiliate store (I get a small commission and your price is completely unaffected).  Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy crocheting these cute jack-o-lanterns!

Free Halloween Crochet Graphs

To make up for my lack of posts lately, I'm going to be posting two free graph days this week! This first post is 6 of my Halloween graphs since we're already in the second week of September! I have a few smaller graphs that would be nice pillows or wall hangings, and a few larger graphs that would make good seasonal throws. Feel free to play around with the colors on these. I think a dark purple background would look pretty awesome for most of the designs. The fangs would look especially cool and creepy against a blood red background.  All 6 of these graphs are available for free download from stitchboard.com. Enjoy!

Free Pattern Friday: Dog Days of Summer

Yes, today is friday, which means pay day, grocery shopping, and more free patterns! I'm celebrating the dog days of summer by featuring two of my own dog graph patterns and a smattering of other free dog patterns so you don't have to hound the internet looking for cute puppy patterns. My two patterns are available for free download from stitchboard.com, the same as every week, and the other patterns are hosted on a variety of other blogs and websites. The spaniel-type dog pattern and the poodle pattern are both 200 stitches across by 280 rows tall so they would mostly cover a full size bed. All these patterns would work up into absolutely adorable gifts for dog lovers of any age.
I hope you have a woofing great time crafting!

Back to School Crochet

*This post contains affiliate links*
I'm switching things up a little this week. In honor of my niece starting kindergarten, I'm going to post a few back to school crochet patterns.  First though, I want to draw your attention to Craftsy's big August sale. All classes are on sale for up to 50% off, which is a great deal if you are eager to add some new crafting skills to your repertoire! I'm signed up for the Craftsy Fair Isle crochet course (review forthcoming), and while I haven't had much time to work on it, I'm really enjoying the class so far.  Since I have been so busy lately I really love that I can watch the class videos any time and that I don't have to waste hours scouring the internet for tutorials. Also, Craftsy doesn't just have knitting and crochet classes, they have classes in almost any type of craft you would want to learn.  Just a few of the many options are cake decorating, woodworking, and photography.  They even have some cooking classes! This sale only runs from today (8/7/14) to Monday (8/11/14) so hurry if you want to take advantage of these great prices!

Now, here are my free back-to-school crochet patterns. These three are throw sized graphghan patterns with a school theme.  All three are available for download on the stitchboard.com free pattern store and are meant to be finished with a border of your choice.  Any of these would make a great present for a teacher, librarian, or bus driver.
Book Owl

School House

School Bus

A few notes about the school bus pattern: The red rectangles should be all red so make the random black spaces red. I would use a light gray or aran color for the window, grill, and bumper, with a dark gray or black for the seats, tires, and lines.

As usual, I provide these graphs free of charge because it's something I like to do. Please do not disrespect me and the work I put into producing these by copying and selling them as your own.  Also, please, please, please, share my blog and this post in particular if you enjoyed reading it/found it to be useful.  Thanks, and happy crafting!

Free Pattern Friday: Cute Cats

I love cats.  I have two, and I consider them to be my little furry children.  If you're a cat lover like me or have family members who also love their feline companions, these graphghans would make the perfect present.  They are simple one color silhouettes on a plain background so they should work up fairly quickly compared to other patterns.  Each pattern should make a large throw or small twin-size blanket depending on the yarn and hook you use. If you find you want either a larger or smaller blanket, simply increase or decrease the amount of background and border around the cat shape. As usual, these patterns are available for FREE download from stitchboard.com.  Happy crafting, and remember to please share if you enjoyed this post.  Also, I would love to see your finished work if you use any of my patterns so feel free to leave a comment with pictures if you would like!

By the way, happy August 1st to all my North American readers! Hard to believe how fast this year is flying by! Oh, and if you're more of a dog person, stay tuned for next week's free patterns.  :)

Free Pattern Friday: More Teddy Bears

My apologies for this week's free pattern Friday being a day late;  Adjusting to a new work schedule is exhausting.  Anyways, my three new free patterns this week are more adorable teddy bear patterns.  I really like teddy bear blankets for babies and toddlers and I have several new nieces and nephews due in the next few months so I thought I would share these cute graphs.  As always, these were made for non-commercial purposes using stitchboard.com 's free pattern wizard and are not to be sold.  All three of these are hosted on the stitchboard.com free pattern store (links in captions), which does require free and easy registration to the website. Also, as usual feel free to personalize these blankets with different colors, borders, etc..., and share your pictures with me when you finish! I would love to see all of your amazing, unique creations.

One additional note, these are all fairly large blankets so feel free to reduce the amount of background around the bears if you want a smaller throw or cuddle blanket.

I have a few more Teddy Bear patterns and a whole menagerie of animals to be featured in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
